Scott’s practice focuses on the defense of healthcare providers and facilities in medical liability litigation, licensing and disciplinary litigation. Scott has extensive experience representing physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare providers before their respective professional licensing Boards. As a nurse-attorney, Scott brings a unique set of skills to his representation of clients and a results-oriented approach to pursue an outcome that is in the client’s personal and professional interest. Scott’s clients range from individual physicians to integrated hospital systems. Scott has served as a Judge Pro Tem in Maricopa County Superior Court since 2009. In 1993, Scott obtained an Associate’s Degree in Risk Management from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters/Insurance Institute of America. In 2000, Scott obtained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters designation from the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters/Insurance Institute of America. Scott’s Litigation Team Members include his long-time secretary, Ms. Barbara Burke; Ms. Terri Prentiss-Todd (paralegal), Ms. Sandi O’Connor (paralegal) and Ms. Annette Braband-Tull (nurse consultant).
