Bobby Sullivan and Tyler Abrahams prevailed following a three day bench trial and several evidentiary hearings involving disputed commercial leases for construction equipment. The firm’s client had alleged the defendant/lessor breached its contract and committed fraud by failing to pay rents and other charges owed under the lease, while the defendant/lessor contended its non-payment was consistent with the parties’ course of dealing and that payment had been waived. Law clerk Leanne Hay’s moot court team placed first in the pacific regional of the Jessup Moot Court Competition, which is widely considered the largest and most prestigious of the moot court competitions. She and her team from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law went undefeated, picking up awards for the second, fourth, and eighth best speaker in the competition, as well as fourth best written memorial.
