Appellate specialist Kelley Jancaitis recently accepted an appointment by the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One to serve as pro bono counsel for a claimant pursuing special action review of an Arizona Department of Economic Security unemployment board decision. The appointment was made as part of the Arizona Court of Appeals Pro Bono Program, the goal of which is to provide pro bono counsel to self-represented parties in cases presenting an issue of first impression or some complexity warranting more developed briefing and argument.…
